Prior to your event, your DJ will meet with you to discuss tailoring your event to your individual specifications. For weddings, your DJ will assist you in developing your reception format from the "grand entrance" to the last dance. We have an easy to use questionnaire right here on our website that you can fill out and submit from the comfort and privacy of your own home or place of business!

As Master of Ceremonies and Maitre'd, Acclimated Sounds will insure your event will run smoothly, as planned. We function as a central "hub", linking with the banquet manager, photographer, videographer, wait staff, and others to ensure that everybody is aware of what is taking place next. We have had photographers comment that we are the most well organized DJ service they have ever worked with. A studio grade wireless microphone is always available for "Roasts, Toasts, or Announcements."

Planning also includes your musical preferences. Remember, you get to pick your special requests before, as well as, during your special event. We also always honor your requests of specific songs and certain music types that you don't want to hear!

Your Acclimated Sounds DJ will show up at your banquet facility up to two hours before your event is scheduled to begin, to start setting up the sound system & dance lighting equipment. A sound check is made early, before your guests arrive. The volume levels are adjusted for both pleasing dinner music volume levels as well as night club high energy dancing. The light show is also "tweaked" to optimum performance for the perfect high energy dance floor.

Acclimated Sounds uses only high end studio grade or professional touring equipment. We can provide incredible sound quality for parties from 50 people to small stadium size applications. Three 2500 watt Crown professional power amplifiers power up the EAW speaker sound system. The sound quality actually surpasses most live bands, and yet, we are also able to provide clean dinner music at volume levels pleasing to all.  Acclimated Sounds has a complete back up system, including amplifiers, cd players, speakers, etc. at every event. Our sound and lighting system is so extensive, you could say that even our backup system has a backup system! In fact, I equate my mobile system to a "Traveling Nightclub on Wheels". The show must (and will) go on!

Our Code Of Ethics

To be opposed to the negative in the industry is just half the struggle, educating potential customers about some of the pitfalls and practices of unethical companies is important as well.

The following list represents some of the activities that we deem as unethical.

1) Bait and Switch - Any person(s) that would lead the buyer to believe they are receiving one product or service, but deliver something different or of lesser value is guilty of "Bait and Switch"

2) Misrepresentation - There are far too many examples of misrepresentation to list, however, it should be known that any person(s) that mislead a buyer about any aspect of their product or service are committing an act of misrepresentation.

3) Kickbacks - By definition, a kickback is not a sales commission or referral fee which are monies subtracted from a standard price. A "Kick-back" occurs when the normal list price for a product or service is inflated in order to allow for additional payments to outside sources. We have knowledge of this occurring heavily in this trade and are aware that in other areas of the country, it has become a requirement to pay other people "Kick-backs" in order to work. We do not want to see this in Michigan.

4) Subcontracting - This act in itself is not a problem, however, the manner in which it is done can be. Similar to the "Bait and Switch", several DJ/companies find it necessary to OVER BOOK themselves and then shop around for another disc jockey to cover the date so they can make extra money. In this scenario, the customers believe that they are receiving the services of the company they have contracted, but instead they are receiving a disc jockey from another company. Although doing this is not against the Law, we feel that it is misleading, and therefore, unacceptable.

5) Drug and Alcohol Abuse - To our knowledge, Drinking on the job is not legally restricted, however, we feel that it is very unprofessional. Only if you are invited to drink can it be appropriate on any given occasion, and moderation is considered to be the absolute limit. Naturally, any use of any illegal substances is unacceptable. We feel that it is our purpose to encourage the party, not join the party as a guest.
